1. Acceptance of these terms
Transit Genius is operated by J.M. IT Solutions LLC. By creating an account, browsing routes, booking a trip, purchasing a ticket, using live tracking, contacting support, or otherwise using Transit Genius, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.
2. Transit Genius service
Transit Genius is a marketplace and technology platform that connects passengers with participating transit operators and related travel services. Transit Genius may provide booking, ticketing, payment, QR ticket validation, support, operator reporting, live vehicle visibility, notifications, and related tools.
Transit operators remain responsible for operating their vehicles, routes, schedules, pickup rules, safety practices, service availability, and passenger transportation unless otherwise stated in a separate written agreement.
3. Accounts and security
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials, verification codes, and devices secure. Do not share passwords, one-time codes, payment information, or QR tickets with unauthorized persons. We may restrict or suspend accounts when necessary to protect users, operators, payments, tickets, or the platform.
4. Bookings, fares, and tickets
Fares, routes, schedules, service areas, cancellation rules, refund rules, and ticket validity may vary by operator, route, trip type, service model, or local requirements. A booking or ticket is not guaranteed until the app confirms the transaction and, where applicable, payment is authorized or completed.
QR tickets may be limited by route, operator, date, trip, passenger count, redemption count, or other validation rules. Attempting to duplicate, alter, resell, share, reuse, or fraudulently redeem a ticket may result in ticket rejection, account restriction, or other action.
5. Payments and refunds
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe, PayPal, or other supported providers. Transit Genius does not store complete card numbers, card security codes, or PayPal passwords. Refunds, reversals, disputes, chargebacks, and cancellations may depend on operator rules, payment provider rules, fraud checks, and applicable law.
6. Location and live tracking
With permission, Transit Genius may use device location to find nearby transit services, prefill pickup locations, show maps, support route planning, and display participating vehicle status. Authorized operator or admin users may enable phone-based vehicle tracking for a registered vehicle. Tracking features depend on device signal, GPS accuracy, connectivity, operator participation, and backend availability, so displayed locations and estimated times may not always be exact.
7. Communications and support
Support chats, feedback, reports, email messages, notifications, and related communications may be stored and reviewed to resolve cases, improve service, protect users, and support operators. Please do not send sensitive information unless specifically requested through a secure process.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Transit Genius, interfere with the platform, attempt unauthorized access, submit false information, abuse support channels, scrape data, disrupt operators or passengers, bypass ticket validation, or use the service for unlawful or unsafe purposes.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep Transit Genius reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, exact transit availability, perfect route data, or error-free operation. We may update, suspend, change, or discontinue features as the platform evolves.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, J.M. IT Solutions LLC is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for operator service failures, delays, cancellations, accidents, network outages, device issues, or inaccurate third-party data outside our reasonable control.
11. Account deletion
You may request deletion of your account and associated data using the in-app account deletion option or our account deletion instructions. Some records may be retained when needed for completed transactions, ticket validation, refunds, payment disputes, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, safety investigations, legal claims, or other obligations.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Transit Genius grows or legal, operational, payment, or security requirements change. We will post the updated terms here and revise the effective date.
