J.M. IT Solutions LLC ("Transit Genius," "we," "our," or "us") operates the Transit Genius mobile application and related services. Transit Genius helps passengers discover transit services, plan and book trips, pay for eligible tickets, receive QR tickets, track participating vehicles, and contact support.
1. Information we collect
Account and profile information
We may collect your name, email address, phone number, profile image, saved addresses, authentication identifiers, and account preferences. Depending on the sign-in method you choose, authentication may be provided through email, SMS, Google, or Facebook.
Location, address, and travel information
With your permission, we may process precise or approximate device location to identify nearby transit services, prefill a trip origin, show maps, provide route and stop information, and support live vehicle tracking. We also process the addresses, stops, routes, destinations, trip times, accessibility choices, and search terms you enter or select.
Bookings, tickets, and transaction information
We process booking details, ticket identifiers, fares, operator and route information, passenger quantities, payment status, QR ticket validation and redemption events, refunds, and related transaction records.
Payment information
Payments may be handled by third-party payment providers such as Stripe or PayPal. Transit Genius is designed not to store complete payment card numbers, card security codes, or PayPal passwords. If bank payment setup is offered, routing and account information may be transmitted securely to the applicable payment processor. We may retain processor-issued payment method identifiers, bank name and masked account details, transaction status, and information required for receipts, refunds, fraud prevention, and accounting.
Support and communications
When you contact support, we may collect chat messages, incident details, attachments, support ratings, and any information you choose to provide. If you choose voice messaging or transcription, the app may process microphone audio and the resulting transcript.
Device and service information
We may collect device identifiers, notification tokens, app version, operating system, language, network and connectivity information, crash reports, security events, IP address, and diagnostic logs. Camera access may be used for profile images or authorized QR ticket scanning.
Operator and administrative information
Authorized operator, support, and administrative users may provide business, role, vehicle, route assignment, GPS terminal, and live vehicle location information needed to operate and monitor participating transit services.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- Create and secure accounts and authenticate users.

- Generate, verify, redeem, and protect QR tickets against fraud or duplicate use.
- Provide live maps, vehicle status, service notices, and booking notifications.
- Remember user preferences, saved trips, addresses, and payment method selections.
- Respond to support requests and investigate incidents.
- Monitor reliability, diagnose errors, improve performance, and protect the service.

3. Service providers and data sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to operate Transit Genius, complete a user-requested transaction, protect users and the service, or comply with law. Our service providers may include:
- Google Firebase for authentication, application data, file storage, notifications, diagnostics, and related infrastructure.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, or a valid government request, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and service integrity.
4. Device permissions and your choices
Transit Genius requests device permissions only when a feature needs them. You can manage location, camera, microphone, photos, and notification permissions in your device settings. Some features may not work without the relevant permission. You may also edit profile information, remove saved addresses or payment methods where available, and choose whether to save trips.
5. Data retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Account and profile data is generally retained while your account is active. Booking, ticket, payment, fraud-prevention, safety, tax, and accounting records may be retained after account deletion when required to complete transactions, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations. Support and diagnostic records are retained for periods appropriate to their operational purpose and are then deleted or de-identified.
6. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information, including encrypted network connections, access controls, role-based permissions, secure credential storage, signed ticket data, and monitoring. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Access, correction, and deletion
You may review or update certain information within the app. You may also request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us. To delete your Transit Genius account, use the in-app account deletion option or follow our account deletion instructions. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
8. Children's privacy
Transit Genius is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
9. International processing
Transit Genius is designed to support travel across regions. Information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate measures for cross-border processing and require service providers to protect information according to applicable law.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Transit Genius evolves or legal requirements change. We will post the updated policy here, revise the effective date, and provide additional notice when a change is significant and applicable law requires it.
